Pilots Complete the Sweep of Nevada with 6-4 Win

RIDGEFIELD, Wash. --- Portland freshman Sean Mulcare belted the go-ahead homer in the bottom of the sixth inning and the Pilots were solid on the mound as they completed a three-game sweep of the Nevada Wolf Pack with a 6-4 win on Sunday afternoon at the Ridgefield Outdoor Recreation Complex.

The homer is Mulcare's second during the weekend, and it came with the score tied 4-4 in the sixth. With one out and the bases empty, Mulcare cleared the right field fence with a hard-hit, line drive.
A few batters later, Hunter Montgomery sent a single through the left side that brought home Tracye Tammaro, who had previously doubled, and the Pilots had a two-run cushion.
