Pilots Compete Through Stormy Weather At Portland Twilight

PORTLAND, Ore. --- The Portland Pilots men's and women's track and field teams braved through unfavorable conditions to conclude competition this evening at the Portland Twilight, in Griswold Stadium at Lewis and Clark.

Many Pilots recorded personal bests including freshman sprinter Maya Murphy-Cook in the long jump (5.01), 100m (12.47), and 100m hurdles (15.16), sophomore sprinters Mariela Martinez and Maria Montt in the in the 400m (1:02.63) and 100m (12.53), and senior sprinter Madison Leek in both the 200m (57.03) and 400m (25.78). Freshman Grace Bley also set a personal best in the 100m (12.53). Taryn Rawlings, Maddie Woodson, and Courtney Cox, in the distance group, ran impressive races in the 1500m and 5000m.
