BELLEVUE, Wash. --- Portland's Cody Hawken, Ryan Hoogerwerf, and Hunter Montgomery each finished with three hits, Henry Cheney belted a solo home run, and the Pilots collected season-highs in both runs and hits as they rolled past the Seattle Redhawks 13-2 on Tuesday afternoon at Bannerwood Park. Portland combined for 18 hits overall, while pitchers Kevin Baker and Tate Budnick limited the Redhawks to just six hits.
Portland (18-26) jumped out to an early lead, scoring four runs in the top of the first inning. After three consecutive walks were issued by Seattle starter Jarrod Billig, Hawken proved the first RBI of the game with a single to left field that brought home Matt Kelly.
