Portland men's tennis concluded successful runs at the 64th Annual Southern California Intercollegiate Championships in Los Angeles and the Gonzaga Invitational in Spokane, Wash. by winning a combined three doubles titles between the two events.
Sema Pankin and Eleftherios Neos defeated a team from Concordia-Irvine in the semifinals and then outlasted a ranked duo from SMU by an 8-6 margin in the title match in Los Angeles. The victory earns the pair a wild card entry to a $25,000 pro futures event this March in Calabasas, Calif.
At the Gonzaga Invitational, Julien Penzlin and Nikolas Tvedt won the doubles title in the top draw on Sunday morning, while freshman Oscar Brown teamed up with a Gonzaga player for the doubles crown in the White Draw.
