PROVO, Utah --- The Portland Pilots opened a big lead over Brigham Young in the third quarter before defeating the Cougars 57-48 in a West Coast Conference women's basketball game played on Saturday afternoon at the Marriott Center. Keeley Frawley finished with a team-high 14 points, with 12 of those coming on four key three-pointers.
It's the first WCC win for Portland's first-year head coach Michael Meek, and the Pilots improve to 8-6 overall and 1-2 in the conference.
The first quarter was an offensive struggle for both teams, but the Pilots kept it close with the help of five early points from Kate Andersen.
