PORTLAND, Ore. – The Portland Pilots (15-5, 5-3) bounced back from their Saturday loss to the Loyola Marymount Lions (8-13, 3-8 WCC) with a 64-49 win in their rematch. The win gives Portland 15 wins, surpassing their total from last season.
Maisie Burnham was the leading scorer for the Pilots with 15 points off the bench. The total matches her previous scoring high since she joined the Pilots from Eastern Washington. Maddie Muhlheim also matched her season-high for threes with four, scoring 12. Lucy Cochrane was the only other Pilot to cross the double-digit threshold with 10.
Ariel Johnson once again led the Lions in scoring with 15, nine of those points coming from the free throw line.
