PORTLAND, Ore. -- The Portland Pilots tamed the Lions with an 8-5 win on Sunday, claiming their second WCC series of the season.
Ryan Rembisz (4-1) got the win for Portland (11-17, 5-1). The southpaw went six innings, giving up five runs, all of them earned, on seven hits, allowing one walk and striking out three. Kaden Segel pitched well in relief, going three shutout innings while allowing four hits, walking none and striking out two with the save.
Offensively, the Pilots had four players earn multiple hits on the day and three hit home runs. Cole Katayama-Stall and Cody Nitowitz led the way for Portland, with Katayama-Stall batting 2-for-4 with a home run, a double and three RBI's and Nitowitz going 3-for-4.
