PORTLAND, Ore. – The Portland Pilots (20-10) earned their first ever win in the Women's National Invitation Tournament (WNIT) 72-63 over the Colorado State Rams (21-12). It's just the third win all-time for the Pilots in any NCAA Division I postseason event.
It was a career night for Rose Pflug, with the Portland native scoring 23 points along with a career-high seven rebounds and four assists. Alex Fowler added a double-double with 16 points and 13 rebounds – her seventh double-double of the season – and Maisie Burnham had 13 off the bench with seven rebounds, just shy of a season high in boards.
