PORTLAND, Ore. -- This past Saturday, the Portland Pilots baseball team scrimmaged against the Bushnell University Beacons in preparation for their Fall World Series.
"Overall, it was a good day," Portland head coach Geoff Loomis said. "On offense we were able to put crooked numbers on the board in multiple innings and played error-free defense. Our pitching staff did their part by being competitive in the strike zone and limiting free passes."
The Pilots began their Fall World Series this past Tuesday and will play a series of intrasquad scrimmages over the coming weeks on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
