TEMPE, Ariz. – Portland fifth-year senior Sema Pankin capped his Pilot career by placing in the top 100 of the final Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) national rankings in singles. Pankin is just the third Portland player to conclude a season nationally ranked in the modern ITA era (since 1981).
Pankin was ranked throughout most of the spring season and officially finished at No. 100 according to Wednesday's announcement. It is another honor among many for one of the most decorated Portland men's tennis players ever.
Pankin was named the 2023 WCC Co-Player of the Year joining Michail Pervolarakis (2017, 2018) as the only Pilots to garner the honor.
