STOCKTON, Calif. – The Pacific Tigers held on for an 81-77 victory over the Portland Pilots in West Coast Conference men's basketball action Saturday night at the Alex G. Spanos Center. The Pilots conclude the regular season with a 13-18 overall record and 5-11 mark in West Coast Conference play. Portland will now prepare for a Thursday meeting with San Diego at the 2023 University Credit Union West Coast Conference Basketball Tournament.
The game featured nine ties and 12 lead changes with Juanse Gorosito putting the Pilots up 75-74 with 1:32 remaining. Jordan Ivy-Curry then scored four straight to give the Tigers a 78-75 edge before Kristian Sjolund converted a putback with 12 seconds to go.
