EUGENE, Ore. – Nicklas Oberg recorded an impressive singles win for Portland, but the Oregon Ducks secured a 6-1 team victory in a non-conference men's tennis match Wednesday night at the Student Recreation Center.
Oberg dropped the opening set to Luke Vandecasteele at the No. 4 spot, but bounced back to take the second set by a 6-3 margin. He claimed the victory with a 10-7 score in the third set super tiebreaker.
The Ducks (5-0) remained unbeaten after getting off to a strong start against the Pilots (1-1), who had not played since a Feb.
