SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – For the fifth time in her career, Portland Pilots goalkeeper Bre Norris has been named the WCC Defensive Player of the Week after the first week of the season.
Norris earns the honor after the Pilots put together a dominant defensive performance in their 1-0 win over the CSUN Matadors. Norris was credited with the shutout in this one, marking her 20th shutout as a keeper for Portland, which ranks eighth in program history. The Pilots were also one of just two WCC teams to post a shutout win over the weekend.
