PORTLAND, Ore. --- Four different Pilots found the back of the net and goalkeeper Kienan Weekes needed to make just one save as No. 7 Portland rolled to a commanding 4-0 win over the Loyola Marymount Lions in a West Coast Conference men's soccer game played on Friday night at Merlo Field. The win extends Portland's unbeaten streak to begin the season to 12 games.
Portland (10-0-2, 2-0-0 WCC) scored one goal before the half and three after the break, with the first coming from Gio Magana-Rivera in the 16th minute. Magana-Rivera received a pass from Greg Tracey near the top of the box, faked a left-footed shot to cut back to his right, and buried a stellar hit into the top of the net to stun the LMU keeper.
