EUGENE, Ore. --- The Portland Pilots scored first, but the Oregon Ducks overcame that early deficit to claim a 6-1 win in a non-conference baseball game played on a rainy Tuesday night at PK Park.
The night began well for the Pilots (7-25-1), who scored the game's first run in the top of the first inning. Matt Kelly led off the frame by reaching on a hit-by-pitch, and a few batters later Kevin Wade drove a two-out double into the gap in right-center field. Kelly came around to score from first, handing Portland the early 1-0 lead.
The Ducks (22-8) had an answer with two runs in the bottom of the first to surge ahead.
