San Diego, Calif. --- The No. 20 San Diego Toreros remain unbeaten on the year by defeating the Portland Pilots in West Coast Conference volleyball match played on Thursday evening at Jenny Craig Pavilion. The Toreros claimed the match with set scores of 25-9. 25-17, and 25-10.
Portland (0-6, 0-6 WCC) sophomore Jayde Harris contributed four kills in the match, senior Liz Reich added three, and setters Noelani Helm and Kellie Hughes tallied 13 assists.
San Diego (4-0, 4-0 WCC) controlled the match from the start with stellar service and attacks from all sides of the floor, using an early 8-1 run to carry them on-top through set one.
