EUGENE, Ore. – Portland men's tennis swept its three doubles matches and has two players in the singles semifinals after Friday action to open the Duck Invitational hosted at the Student Tennis Center.
Portland's doubles tandems of Leo Hibi/Oscar Brown, Julien Penzlin/Nikolas Tvedt and Eleftherios Neos/Issa Yoshida won their Round of 16 morning matches and advance to Saturday's quarterfinals.
The Pilots went 6-4 in singles action with Tvedt and Brown reaching the semifinals of the Yellow Draw singles. Nicklas Oberg won his opening match in the Yellow Draw in three sets, but pulled out thereafter due to injury.
