Men’s Tennis battles Utah in 4-2 loss

SEATTLE, Wash. – The Portland men's tennis team was dealt its first loss of the season by a 4-2 margin against the Utah Utes Sunday in a neutral site match at Nordstrom Tennis Center. The Pilots were without Stefan Skobelev due to injury, but still gave the Utes all they could handle.

Utah claimed the doubles point with 6-3 wins at the No. 2 and No. 3 positions. Portland's tandem of Maxim Groysman and Cade Fernando, normally the No. 2 team, slid up to No. 1 and were trailing 5-4 when the point was clinched.

Portland got singles wins in straight sets from Nikola Keremedchiev and Tom Garcia.
