SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Portland used a late 16-0 run to overcome a 12-point second half deficit and defeat the Incarnate Word Cardinals 77-68 in the final game of the Incarnate Word Tournament hosted at the McDermott Center.
Portland has already eclipsed last season's win total while the team's 7-2 start matches the 2014-15 team for the program's best nine-game start in the last decade.
Mike Meadows finished with a career-high 22 points, Tyler Robertson had 16 points and Moses Wood, Chris Austin and Chika Nduka added 10 points apiece. Wood has now reached double figures scoring in all nine games for the Pilots.
