PORTLAND, Ore. – Mike Meadows collected a career-high 39 points, but the Portland men's basketball team fell to the Santa Clara Broncos 103-84 at home Saturday.
Meadows' 39-point effort led the Pilots (13-16, 5-9 WCC). Tyler Robertson helped out with 16 points and Juanse Gorosito chipped in with eight points, six rebounds and two steals coming off the bench.
Santa Clara raced out to 20-point lead in the first half behind hot shooting and finished the night 16-for-35 from three-point range and 56 percent from the field overall.
How It Happened
Portland struggled out of the gate and the Broncos used a 16-4 run to pull ahead by a 25-11 margin on a putback from Brandon Podziemski.
