Lusby is the WCC’s Player of the Week After the Pilots Post Two Shutouts

SAN BRUNO, Calif. --- Portland senior goalkeeper Rachel Lusby is the West Coast Conference Player of the Week after the Pilots posted a pair of shutouts during the weekend. Lusby made 11 saves combined as the Pilots won 1-0 at North Dakota on Friday before topping Seattle 1-0 on Sunday at Merlo Field.

The Pilots have now shutout three straight opponents and have not allowed goal in the last 284 minutes.

Lusby made six stops against the Fighting Hawks as the Pilots remained perfect on the road. She made five more against the Redhawks, preserving the scoreless game, which was eventually won by the home side in overtime.
