PORTLAND, Ore. --- The Gonzaga Bulldogs scored three runs in the top of the seventh inning before holding on to claim a 4-2 comeback win over the Portland Pilots in a West Coast Conference baseball game played on Friday night at Joe Etzel Field. Portland's Chad Stevens went 3-for-4 with a pair of runs during the loss.
Stevens scored his first run in the bottom of the first inning after the Bulldogs had taken a 1-0 lead in the top of the frame. Stevens led off with a hard-hit double to the left field corner, moved to third base on a sacrifice bunt by Matt Kelly, and scored when Daniel Lopez flied out to right.
