Kent State Pulls Away Late to Defeat Portland

KENT, Ohio – Kent State erupted late to put Portland away 76-57 Friday night at the M.A.C Center. Bol Dengdit led the Pilots with 12 points and Chris Austin added 10, but the Pilots committed 14 turnovers and were outrebounded by a 40-29 margin as a three-point deficit early in the second half got away late.

Dengdit was 5-for-7 from the field and added four rebounds in 16 minutes of action. Jermaine Ballisager Webb was also effective off the bench for the second straight game with eight points, three rebounds and three assists.

Portland shot 35 percent from the field and held the Golden Flashes (7-2) 45 percent overall.
