SAN BRUNO, Calif. – Portland guard Isaiah White has been named the West Coast Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week, the league office announced on Monday. White averaged 22.0 points and 5.5 assists in leading the Pilots to wins against Portland State and UC Davis last week.
Portland swept this week's awards as UP freshman forward Alex Fowler earned the honor on the women's side. White becomes the first Pilot to earn men's hoops player of the week honors since Alec Wintering took the award on Jan. 2, 2017.
The Ellicott City, Maryland graduate transfer dropped 21 points and eight assists as the Pilots snapped a nine-game road losing streak and overall three-game losing streak to the Vikings with an 82-75 victory.
