SEATTLE, Wash. – The Washington Huskies scored two runs in the sixth inning and held on for a 2-1 win over Portland Tuesday night in a non-conference baseball game at Husky Ballpark. The Huskies improve to 5-6 overall with the win, while the Pilots fall to 3-7.

Portland freshman right-hander Jacob Dobmeier (0-1) pitched well in his first start for the Pilots, but the Huskies allowed just five hits in the game and no hits in the final five innings.

Dobmeier finished the day with 6.0 innings pitched and scattered six hits, no walks along with three strikeouts.
