SEATTLE, Wash. – Maxim Groysman and Nikola Keremedchiev have advanced to the ITA Northwest Regional Championship Round of 32 singles following Friday action at the Nordstrom Tennis Center.
Groysman defeated Seattle U's Filip Stipic in a marathon three-setter by a 5-7, 7-6, 7-6 margin. He fought off a match point in the second set and then outlasted Stipic in the longest match of the tournament. He moves on to face Stanford's Max Basing on Saturday.
Keremedchiev took down Timofey Stepanov of California 6-3, 7-6 and will now face Washington's Nedim Suko in the Round of 32.
