PORTLAND, Ore. – Chad Stevens was 2-for-5 with a game-sealing grand slam as the Pilots won 6-2 over the Pepperdine Waves to take the series. The win puts the Pilots back at .500 with a 21-21 overall record. The win also puts them at 13-8 in WCC play.
The pitching staff was stellar for Portland. Brad McVay earned his sixth win of the season, allowing only two runs and two hits while adding seven strikeouts in six innings. Christian Peters had a solid relief performance as well, going three innings with five strikeouts, one hit and no runs.
