FRESNO, Calif. – The Portland Pilots (8-3) dropped the final game of their series against the Fresno State Bulldogs (6-5) 7-1. The Bulldogs officially take the series.
Caleb Franzen takes his second loss of the year for the Pilots after giving up five runs (three earned) in four innings. Franzen also added four strikeouts. Meanwhile, the Bulldogs got solid production from their bullpen once again, with Roman Angelo officially earning the win in six innings of work.
The Pilots had no problem racking up hits with 11 on the day, but struggled to bring runners home.
