SAN BRUNO, Calif. – For the third time this season, Alex Fowler has been named the WCC Player of the Week. This is the second time in her career she's taken the award three times in one season.
Fowler earns the award after averaging 22 points. 5.5 rebounds and 5.5 assists per game on 60% shooting over two games. She helped lead the Pilots to an upset victory over the No. 16 BYU Cougars as well, putting up 23 points, seven rebounds and eight assists. It was Portland's first win over a ranked opponent since 2020 and their first home win over the Cougars since the 1997-98 season.
