PORTLAND, Ore. --- Portland sophomore Alex Fowler is the West Coast Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week after averaging 16.0 points during Portland's two games. This is the fourth career weekly conference honor for Fowler, and the first one this season.
Fowler's week included a 20-point performance during a win over Seattle U as the Pilots split their two non-conference games at the Chiles Center. The forward netted 12 against the No. 9 Oregon Ducks on Monday night, and she followed that with her first 20-point game of the season against the Redhawks on Sunday. 14 of those points came in the second half as the Pilots prevailed, and she made all five of her field goal attempts after the break.
