EUGENE, Ore. – The Portland Pilots entered Saturday's game against Oregon averaging nearly 82 points per game, but the Ducks locked in on defense for an 80-41 victory at Matthew Knight Arena. Oregon won its sixth consecutive game, while the Pilots had their five-game streak of victories snapped.
The Ducks used a 19-0 run to close the first half and through the start of the second half to create separation. The Pilots went more than eight minutes without scoring before Latrell Jones scored back-to-back baskets, but Oregon scored the next 10 points to push the margin to 60-24.
