PORTLAND, Ore. --- The San Francisco Dons claimed the three-game West Coast Conference series by topping the Portland Pilots 10-3 on Sunday afternoon at Joe Etzel Field. The Pilots and Dons split their previous two meetings.
The Dons (19-30, 13-11 WCC) scored the game's first runs with a two-run top of the second inning. USF then scored a run during the third and fourth innings before scoring two more in the fifth to take control of the scoreboard. Brady Bate was responsible for the first run in the second with an RBI double. The run in the third came on a sacrifice fly, and Bate added a solo home run in the fourth to make it a 4-1 game.
