SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – The San Francisco Dons hit a three-run bomb in the first inning and never looked back as they shut out the Pilots 5-0. The loss dropped the Pilots under .500 to 18-19 and put their WCC record at 10-6.
Christian Peters took the loss after allowing five runs in six innings of work. He also allowed nine hits and five walks during that span, striking out only one Don. Nick Nygard was the only other Portland pitcher to see the mound, with no hits, no runs and two strikeouts in two innings.
Portland's bats struggled to handle the electric pitching from USF starter Landen Bourassa.
