SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. --- The San Francisco Dons scored two runs in the bottom of the fourth inning to overcome the Portland Pilots 2-1 in the West Coast Conference opener on Friday afternoon at Benedetti Diamond. Tracye Tammaro provided Portland's offense with a solo home run.
Tammaro's home run, his second in the last two games, came in the top of the third inning and gave the Pilots a 1-0 lead. The homer to straight away center field broke the scoreless tie as both starting pitchers had solid outings.
The Dons (11-6, 1-0 WCC) provided an answer in the home half of the fourth when Jonathan Allen left the yard with a two-run homer.
