Dimitrijevic picks up singles win, but Pilots drop 6-1 decision to Gaels

MORAGA, Calif. – Freshman Aleksandra Dimitrijevic continued her solid play of late with a singles win for Portland, but the Saint Mary's Gaels pulled out a 6-1 team win in West Coast Conference women's tennis action Friday afternoon at the Korth Tennis Complex.

The Gaels (9-8, 4-3 WCC) secured the doubles point with a 6-1 win at the No. 3 spot and a close 6-4 victory at No. 1. Portland was trailing 5-4 at No. 2 singles when the point was clinched.

Dimitrijevic was leading Lene Mari Hovda at No. 4 singles 6-3, 3-2 and then won via retirement.
