OMAHA, Neb. – Tracye Tamarro gave Portland a first inning lead with a solo home run, but the Pilots would be held scoreless the rest of the way as the Creighton Bluejays won 6-1 on Saturday at TD Ameritrade Park.
The Pilots (11-4) dropped their third straight game of the trip after being swept in a Friday doubleheader by Omaha.
Tamarro belted his team-leading seventh homer of the season to deep right field in the top of the first inning.
The Bluejays (5-6) tied the score with an RBI single from Nick Gile in the second to score Ryan Mantle, who led off the inning with a double.
