PORTLAND, Ore. – Portland dropped a close 4-2 non-conference women's tennis match to visiting Colorado Saturday morning at the Louisiana Pacific Tennis Center. The Pilots secured the early doubles point and Iva Zelic continued her strong play with a singles win at the top of the lineup to account for Portland's scoring.
Zelic partnered with Neli Sunjic at No. 1 doubles and cruised to a 6-3 win to set the tone. Sally Pethybridge and Rimona Rouf then pulled out a 7-5 comeback win at No. 2 doubles to clinch the point. Pethybridge and Rouf have now gone 3-1 as a tandem during the dual season.
