PORTLAND, Ore. --- Brett Gillis, who hails from Everett, Wash., and is a standout at both shortstop and on the mound for Cascade High School, has signed a National Letter of Intent and will join the Portland Pilots baseball program as a freshman, announced head coach Geoff Loomis.
"We're very fortunate to be adding a player of Brett's ability to what is already an exceptional 2018 class," Loomis said. "Brett has the potential to be a two-way player at UP. We've seen him both pitch and hit at a very high level. He also played quarterback for his high school football team, so he brings some valuable leadership tools as well.
