SEATTLE, Wash.---Veerle Bakker claimed a new school record of 9:11.90 in the women's 3000 meter run at the UW Husky Classic held in Dempsey Indoor on Friday evening, overtaking the previous record of 9:12.16 set by Lauren LaRocco back in 2017. Bakker finished in 11th-place overall on the night.
Jacob Klemz then posted the second-best all-time program finish in the men's 3000m, clocking in at 7:51.95 to secure ninth individually in the race. Riley Osen collected the ninth-place Portland all-time finish with a new personal best of 7:57.82, garnering 16th overall. Chris Anderson finished with a PR of 8:16.
