PORTLAND, Ore. --- Portland sophomore guard Haylee Andrews, who averaged 23 points and 8.5 rebounds during a pair of wins, is the inaugural West Coast Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week. Andrews shot 67 percent from the field as the Pilots won at Utah State and at Weber State.
Andrews opened the season with a double-double against the Aggies before pouring in a career-high 28 points vs. the Wildcats. In the 70-64 win over Utah State on Thursday, Andrews collected 18 points and a career-best 13 rebounds for her second career double-double. She followed that performance by hitting 10 of 12 shots against the Wildcats on Saturday, which included going 2-for-3 from behind the arc, as the Pilots pulled away for the 78-59 win.
