Aggies Take Opener 12-5 Over Pilots

LAS CRUCES, NM -- All starters reached base safely in the contest, but the Portalnd Pilots still fell to the New Mexico State Aggies 12-5 Friday. The loss gives the Aggies the opening game of the series.

Kaden Segel (1-3) started and took the loss on the mound for Portland (5-13). Kaden Starr was a bright spot out of the bullpen, going three innings, surrendering just one run and one hit and striking out four.

Offensively, Tyler Howard and Brady Bean were the only two Pilots to record multiple hits on the day, going 2-for-4 and 2-for-5 respectively.
