Today you’ll be playing out of position as the preflop raiser in a cash game where the preflop raise size is 5 big blinds. Due to the larger preflop raise size, the pot on the flop is already 11.5 big blinds. Inflated preflop pots are a regular feature of many small stakes cash games. This lowers the Stack to Pot Ratio (SPR).
Against a GTO opponent, you’ll want to mix your play between checks and c-bets on the flop. However, against many opponents you can simply utilize a high frequency, small size c-bet strategy. Most opponents will fail to exploit this strategy correctly.
