This week we’re focused on a cash game spot where you are out of position against a tough player in middle position after 3-betting their open raise from 3BBs to 12BBs from the Big Blind.
Since you are making a large, out of position raise from the Big Blind your range is going to be both very narrow and polarized. This means you will have a significant range advantage over your opponent on most flops, which leads to a high c-betting frequency.
It is important to note that with the larger preflop raise size your middle position opponent will have a narrower, more condensed range than they would in scenarios involving a smaller 3-bet sizing.
