Poker players around Europe will break in the New Year with seventh edition of the Helsinki Freezeout in Finland.
The poker festival takes place at Casino Helsinki from Jan. 6-15 with 10 action-packed tournaments featuring buy-ins ranging from €330 to €2,050. Most of the events on the schedule are in the no-limit hold'em format, however, there are also tournaments taking place in Omaha and seven-card stud poker variants.
Additionally, the schedule takes advantage of many different tournament formats including full-ring freezeouts, 6-max, rebuy, turbo, and win the button.
The series has a long and storied tradition dating back to 2005 when Sweden's Jonas Molander won the biggest prize in the series after shipping a €2,100 no-limit hold'em tournament for €93,600.
