Melbourne’s Sotirios Kiokpasoglou won one of the last events of this year’s Aussie Millions, Event #21: The No Limit Hold’em Deep Freeze, for $106,380.
With a $AUD1,500 buy-in and 352 entrants, the event kicked off Jan. 30 with a $AUD457,600 prize pool.
Kiokpasoglou was not the only Melbourne local at the final table. He was joined by Luke Martinelli in second (AUD$67,495), Nicholas Mullen in fourth (AUD$33,180) and Nazih Sibau in sixth (AUD$19,450).
Also making the cut were Andreas Klatt, a German newcomer to Aussie Millions this year with some high cashes at third in this event and eighth in the Pot Limit Omaha Hi-Lo event (AUD$4,405); James Romero from the United States, whose only cash is in this event (securing third place for AUD$42,330); and Wonil Yun from South Korea who finished out the final table in this event and cashed in 56th in Event #8.
