PokerStars will soon launch in the Czech Republic after Amaya received approval from the Czech State Supervision of Gambling and Lotteries Department.
PokerStars became the first licensed online casino and poker operator in Czech Republic Jan. 28 when Amaya was awarded its 'Live Games' license. The Czech Republic came into new online gaming regulations Jan. 1.
“We are very proud to be the first online casino and poker operator to be awarded a license and support the newly regulated Czech market,” said Guy Templer, chief operating officer of PokerStars in a release. “This underscores our commitment to supporting local regulations and obtaining local licenses wherever possible.
