The PokerNews Cup kicked off its 11-event schedule at King's Casino in Rozvadov, Czech Republic, on Wednesday with the €120 buy-in PokerNews Cup Opening Event. This tournament features a generous €20,000 prize pool, and at the time of this article being written, there were over 150 entrants with many more still expected as late registration continues until around midnight.
The Opening Event provides a deep structure with 12,000 in starting chips and 25-minute blinds. Despite this, with blinds at just 150/300, nearly 50 players have already busted out of the tournament.
