GPI Player of the Year: Chidwick, Kaverman and Volpe Join the Top 10

Each week, the Global Poker Index (GPI) updates its Player of the Year race taking into account a player's 13 best results over the course of the calendar year, according to its formula. For a look at the entire list, visit the official GPI website.

Three players are new to the GPI POY top 10 this week, led by Stephen Chidwick. The Brit cashed twice in the past week, including a runner-up showing in Event #41: $10,000 Seven Card Stud Hi-Low Championship for $180,529. Meanwhile, Byron Kaverman took down Event #37: $10,000 No-Limit Hold'em Six-Handed Championship for $657,351.
