The poker world learned this week of the passing of Paul “Eskimo” Clark. While some are portraying him as forgotten pro from the past, I remember him for different reasons.
Many will recount Eskimo’s run in the $1,500 Razz back in 2007 and his health issues at that final table. What many don’t realize is that wasn’t the first time that summer he had problems.
Eskimo was actually taken to the hospital during the early rounds of the $2,000 Stud Hi-Lo Event that summer. I remember because I was literally 10 feet from him when he started having distress.
