On October 31, Niall Farrell ended his great run at the Main Event of the European Poker Tour (EPT) in Malta with a victory worth €534,330. To put together the biggest score in his poker career, the Scottish poker pro had to survive a field of 651 entries and beat Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Alen Bilic at the end of a speedy final table.
What many might not remember, however, is that only a few days before winning the EPT title in Malta, the very same player left the World Series of Poker Europe (WSOPE) Main Event in Berlin with a considerably different result.
